This apartment is the delight of any visitor. With a mixture of rustic and contemporary and an incredible convenience, it delights and creates unforgettable memories, to those who are fortunate enough to pass by.
On the second floor there is a kitchen and living room in open space, with lots of natural light. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can cook your meals as if you were at home. The living room, in addition to a beautiful decoration, has a comfortable sofa, which can be transformed into a sofa bed for two children. It also has a bathroom on the same floor.
On the upper floor, it has two super comfortable and cozy bedrooms, both with double bed, a bathroom with walk in shower and a small balcony, for example, to have a drink, at the end of those relaxed days, after a beautiful walk through the village or a trip to the nearest beach.
This apartment is located in the picturesque village of Monchique, which despite being inserted in a more rustic environment, is about 40 minutes away from the city of Portimão and its wonderful beaches.
To visit the hills of Monchique is to visit a mountainous area with great plant diversity and a mild climate, affectionately nicknamed the "Garden of the Algarve". Natural heritage that induces contemplation. Crystalline streams that meander at the bottom of steep valleys. Endowed with high environmental quality, the freshness of the mountains presents itself as a counterpoint to the warm Algarve coast and Baixo Alentejo.
In the center of the village you can enjoy a magnificent view from the viewpoint of the São Sebastião park, visit the Mother Church of Monchique dating from the beginning of the 16th century, the Convent of Nossa Senhora do Desterro and take the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the village, contemplating the vast white houses with the typical skirt chimneys and stop to visit our craft houses. It is also worth climbing up the mountain to Picota or to the highest point in the Algarve, Fóia, from where you can see a wide expanse of landscape from Cabo de São Vicente to Serra da Arrábida. Also worth a visit is Moinho do Poucochinho, in Barranco dos Pisões, where you can have a pleasant picnic at its stone tables and in the shade of one of the many classified trees in the Monchique mountains - a plane tree.
Don't miss the Caldas de Monchique where there is a small square surrounded by large trees and fountains, a space conducive to picnics and also know the Thermal Baths and its mineral-medicinal water springs, used since ancient times for treatments.
Stroll through the towns of Alferce, Marmelete and Vila de Monchique, enjoy the architectural, historical and cultural heritage along with the many natural beauties and taste the traditional gastronomy, honey, sweets, medronho, is our suggestion.
I'm sure you were left with "water in your mouth". If so, there is little left for you to visit us!
